Stop Hate Embrace Diversity
The SHED Project: An Anti-Bullying Campaign
|
|
SHED stands for Stop Hate Embrace Diversity. The goal of the SHED project is to outwardly show bullied youth they are not alone, they are supported, and they have people they can turn to if they are being bullied or are in crisis and need help. How can they see us? They can't, and that is why we need to wear the purple ribbon or band. Show them you care, get your purple ribbon here and start showing your support today!
Let's start teaching kids it's okay to embrace what is different. We want to put an end to bullying, violence and intolerance to others. We want to let children know it is okay if someone is gay or straight, fat or thin, has long hair or no hair, that none of it matters! We pledge to embrace diversity in all its forms. Our goal is to get everyone wearing a ribbon or wristband to outwardly show troubled youth we are out there, we are visible, we care, and they will always have someone they can turn to in times of trouble. Start by getting your ribbon and wristband here. We are taking a stand and saying no more violence, no more fear & self-hate, no more suicide because someone feels lost, scared and alone. |
"I was bullied, teased, and beaten up for being gay. I knew it had to get better and it did! Join me today and make that difference so kids don't have to hide and live in fear and isolation, wondering if there are people out there who they can turn to, wondering if there are people who care. Take the pledge, wear the ribbon, save a life!"
